Dance Dance Revolution Fitness Program

Posted in Random Tech by Danielle on January 25th, 2006.

Over 157 middle schools in West Virginia have adopted a Dance Dance Revolution fitness program, in an attempt to fight obesity. West Virginia has been consistently in the top states for obesity, high blood pressure, and diabetes. “If we can get children to change their behavior at a young age they hopefully will grow up to be healthy, active adults, which would have a positive effect on health care costs,” said Carl Callison with Mountain State Blue Cross.

DDR as a fitness program is an awesome idea. I know some schools have it as a club. Either way people can have fun and get healthier in the process. At my school I tried to start a club. It should be up next year. I just graduated though, but I will be there to help them out.

I think that’s a great idea. I know someone who played that game a lot and ended up losing 30 pounds.
