Treo Hollywood Update

Posted in Phones by Danielle on April 20th, 2006.

TreoCentral has leaked a lot of information on the developing Treo Hollywood.

treo hollywood.jpg

The Treo Hollywood is slimmer than its predecessors, and also has no antenna! The Treo appears to be using Windows 5.0, and is reported to have a 700 MHz processor, 1.3 megapixel camera, and a 240 x 240 display.  Yes, the pictures do look a little like a Blackberry, but the font is clearly Treo style.  I suppose we’ll have to wait until the Press Conference to find out any more significant information.

The leak was from MobiBLU’s Korean site; MobiBLU’s US web site has not made any formal announcement.

Bush Claims the US Government Helped Develop the iPod

Posted in Mp3 Players, Ipod by Danielle on April 20th, 2006.

Bush, a long time supporter and owner of the iPod, claims that the US Government actually helped develop the iPod.

Bushs Ipod.jpg

During a speech at Tuskegee University, President Bush told his audience that “the government funded research in microdrive storage, electrochemistry and signal compression. They did so for one reason: It turned out that those were the key ingredients for the development of the iPod.”  Apparently then, government research played a big role in the developing the sucessful technologies used in current iPods.  Well, all I can say is that it’s sure good to know where those tax dollars are going to.
