This mp3 player runs on the Windows Portable Media Center technology, has a brilliant 2.4″ QVGA display, an FM tuner, and is either the 30 gb version (the S30) or the 60 gb version (the S60).  The Toshiba Gigabeat S will ship from Japan in the Red, Black, and White versions later this month for $299 (for the S30) or $399 (for the S60).

Toshiba’s Gigabeat S is also thought to pose a serious threat to Apple’s Ipod Market, particularly because its users won’t have to depend upon Apple’s signature iTunes music selling service.  Here’s a comparison photo:

Sennheiser Headphones- Sport, Street, Style

Posted in Mp3 Players, Random Tech, Multimedia by Danielle on April 15th, 2006.

Sennheiser is releasing 17 new types of headphones in three different categories- Sport, Street, and Style.

The headphones are supposed to match with purpose and personality.  Thus, the athlete buys the sport headphones, the teen buys the street ones, and the sophisticated college student buys the style ones. Within all of these categories (sport, street, and style), there are different models- some are only earbuds, some have a clip to secure the headphones, and some are made to be ultra light weight. As the Sennheiser web site claims, “…their superb sound, contemporary design and innovative fitting systems. The Street line delivers powerful bass, stand-out design and a wide range of accessories. The Sport Line headphones not only offer a perfectly secure fit, they are extremely robust, and resistant to sweat and water. The Style Line combines excellent sound with high-class design in finely finished materials.” We should be seing these innovate products within a month.

Nokia is releasing a limited edition 8800 Aston Martin Edition cell phone.

The phone will cost around $1400, and on top of having the normal Nokia 8800 phone features (unbelievable thinness, a slender stainless steel case, a sliding feature that reveals a camera, a full colour 208 x 208 display, digital music player, 64 mb of internal memory), the Nokia 8800 limited Aston Martin Edition also has an Aston Martin logo etched into the casing, and comes preloaded with special Aston Martin ringtones and wallpaper backgrounds.  So what does $1400 really get you? A pretty big ego boost.

The gaming PC, with a high class firey paint job, also had a NVIDIA Quad-SLI graphics, a Pentium 965 Extreme Edition (4.26 Ghz), and a 30 inch display.  Unfortunately, this “limited edition” PC that was selling for $9930, is completely sold out. Guess you’ll have to settle for a regular dell, dude.
