Motorola Q
The Motorola Q, which has been ambitiously nicknamed a “blackberry killer” was released this week.

The Motorola Q smartphone has features such as Windows Mobile 5.0 OS, Bluetooth technology, Wireless Synch, a 1.3 megapixel camera, Windows Mobile Media Player, MMS messaging, a QWERTY keyboard, and video capture. Engadget got their hands on one, and seemed to enjoy unpacking it.

I received my Q yesterday, did pay a fortune for it becuase I wasn’t a new contract buyer and bought it off ebay. My initial impressions are that this device will definitely give BlackBerry and Treo users a better alternative, I do think the design Motorola did for the Q is revolutionary. I bought a bluetooth headset for the Q from Ebay, a H500 and also a Monaco case www.wirelessground.com/moqac.html , so for now, I’m well accessorized. Another cool product would be an extended battery, I’ll look for one when motorola starts to sell. For those who dont’ have verizon, you can get a GSM version of the Q. And I heard sprint will be coming out with their’s in 6 months, because of Motorola’s exclusive contract with Verizon.

Any ideas on cases for the Q with the extended battery?

Re: case: get the PDA case (blue, with an adjustable strap over the open top) at VerizonWireless stores. Place your Q in the case with the display facing inwards (towards you) - the top strap snaps to the body of the case, so there’s a bump inside the case - it’s covered by the case lining, but better safe than sorry.
