Zune Available for Preorder
EB Games is taking preorders for Microsoft’s Zune 30 GB mp3 player, which will be released to the public November 14th. Features of the Zune: Wireless Zune-to-Zune sharing, three color choices: black, white or brown, a large 3-inch color LCD screen, 30GB hard drive, Zune Pass to Zune Marketplace, and a built-in FM tuner. The 30 GB Zune has a price of $250.
MobiBLU Cube 2 Reviewed
The MobiBLU Cube 2, possibly the world’s smallest mp3 player, that we saw a while ago is now available for purchase in the US. The 1 gb Cube 2 costs $100, and the 2 gb Cube 2 costs $120.
The MobiBLU Cube 2 is available in four different colours, with memory capacity ranging from 1-2 gb. The MobiBLU Cube 2 also has WOW HD sound enhancement, a 65 k colour 0.6 inch OLED screen, FM radio and a battery life of 10 hours for audio or 5 hours for video. CNET reviewed the MobiBLU Cube 2 and gave it a “very good” rating, with 7.3/10. CNET liked the Cube 2’s cute form factor and bundle of features (FM Radio, Video Support, Voice Recording, etc), but disliked the Cube 2’s menu system, which was “a pain to navigate”, the small screen size, no simultaneous picture viewing and music listening, questionable FM reception, and “mediocre battery life”. Overall, “…the Cube will continue with this new model, the world’s smallest multimedia player. While it doesn’t offer an ideal user experience, it makes up for it in style.”
Palm Treo 680 is Official
The Palm Treo 680 smartphone gets official, with an official press release!
The Palm Treo 680 is an entry-level, GSM smartphone. The Treo 680 has 64 mb of internal ram, GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth 1.2, quad band GSM, a VGA camera, and comes in four different colours (Graphite, Crimson, Arctic, and Copper). Pictures from Engadget Mobile.
Motorola’s Red RAZR V3M
Amidst the iPod Nano becoming Red for The Global Fund, Motorola’s RAZR is now also available in Red, with a portion of the profits going to the Globa Fund.
Sprint and Motorola announced today the Red RAZR in collaboration with The Global Fund and PROJECT RED. Proceeds from the sales of the Red RAZR will be donated to the Global Fund in order to fight AIDS in Africa. The Red MOTORAZR will launch with Sprint in November, and will cost $305, or $65 with a 2 year contract.
T-Mobile’s Limited Edition Sidekick 3s
We’ve already caught a glimps of LRG’s limited edition Sidekick 3, but here’s Diane von Furstenburg’s limited edition Sidekick 3.
Diane von Furstenburg’s Sidekick 3 sports a bold, black paint job, with hot pink key accents and red lips around the screen for contrast. Besides the appearance, the Sidekick 3’s specifications remain the same. Both Diane von Furstenburg’s limited edition Sidekick 3 and LRG’s green limited edition Sidekick 3 should be available online and in store October 30 for purchase. However, you should expect the price to be bumped up about $50 to have a limited edition version.
