The Canon Powershot S5 IS

Canon just announced the Powershot S5 IS: an 8 megapixel camera with 12x optical zoom, a UD lens, and inherent optical Image Stabilizer (IS). The Powershot S5 IS also has Canon’s DIGIC III image processor, 22 shooting modes, face detection technology, red-eye correction, ISO up to 1600, a 2.5 inch vari-angle LCD screen, long play VGA movies with stereo sound, and extended video recording. The Canon Powershot S5 IS is available now, from various retailers, with a price of about $500.

What ever shortfall the new models have been getting from us bS5/b lovers over it's controls, adapter-bilities, etc... The price is around $500 not $300.
