Sprint releases the LG MUZIQ
Sprint announced the LG MUZIQ phone, which has enough memory to store up to 4,000 songs. The features of the MUSIQ include an FM transmitter (that allows you to listen to your music on an audio system within 10 feet), SD card slot (up to 4 GB), POP3 email support, a 1.3 megapixel camera with flash and video recording, Bluetooth, and EV-DO connectivity. The MUSIQ will also have access to the Sprint Music Store (1.6 million songs available for wireless download), Pandora Mobile, Sprint Navigation, and Sprint TV. The Sprint LG MUZIQ will launch July 15th, and will have a price of $99 (with a 2 year contract).
Toshiba Tekbright 7 Digital Picture Frame
Toshiba has announced the Tekbright 7 Digital Picture Frame, which was recently displayed in Paris. Specifications include a 7 inch screen (with 800 x 400 resolution and 400:1 contrast), 16 mb of internal memory, and the support of F, SD, MMC, MS, MS Pro and xD memory cards. It also has USB 2.0 connectivity. The Tekbright 7 will be available in July for a price of 139€ (187 USD). The Toshiba Tekbright 7 also comes with a 2 year warranty!
Sony Ericsson K850
The Sony Ericsson K850 is an amazing 5 megapixel cameraphone. Other impressive specifications include tri-band HSDPA, and Quad-band GSM/EDGE. The Sony Ericsson K850 will be available in either “Velvet Blue” or “Luminous Green.” Look for this phone to launch during the fourth quarter of 2007. Pricing is still unknown.
iRiver NV GPS System
iRiver’s NV GPS System is pretty much the sweetest GPS system out there. Features include DMB video, a 7 inch WVGA screen, 2 SD memory card slots, a media player (MP3, WMA, OGG, ASF, WMV, MPG, Xvid, H.264), and an FM tuner. The iRiver NV will be available soon in Korea. We don’t know if we should expect a US launch (probably not), and if so, what the price and launch date would be.
Levi’s Begins Making Phones
In an either tactical or highly confused move, Levi’s Jeans has decided now to produce a cell phone. In line with Levi’s target group of fashionable teenagers, Levi’s phone will also be fashionable. The phone has a camera, media player, and is available in black, metallic silver, metallic copper, shiny silver, or metallic sand. Pricing and availability are still unknown, but look for the Levi’s phone to launch in Europe during September. “Technology is at the heart of today’s youth culture and mobile phones are the ultimate accessory.
