Apple’s 2007 iPod Line Up- iPod Nano, Classic, and Touch
The most noticeable difference is the “matured” look of the iPods. Gone are the vibrant, young colours of the shuffles: now replaced by more subdued pastels.

The star of the line up is, of course, the iPod Touch. It’s the iPod that’s designed almost exactly like the iPhone. It has a 3.5 inch widescreen display, the “slide to unlock” feature, the ability to “flick” through your photos, WiFi, 22 hours of battery life with audio, and 5 hours when playing video. The iPod Touch is available in 8GB or 16GB, and it will cost you $299 or $399 respectively.

The next updated iPod is the iPod Classic: an update to the iPod video. It has a new interface with Cover Flow, and comes in 80GB or 160GB! Whoa… that’s a lot of music. The battery life is 30 hours for audio playback/6 hours of video playback for the 80GB version, and 40 hours of audio playback/7 hours of video playback for the mammoth 160GB player. The 80GB version will run you $249, while the 160GB one will cost you $349.

The iPod Nano (nicknamed the iPod “fatty” for its wider stature) is the third generation of iPod Nanos. The new iPod Nanos have a 2 inch QVGA screens that are 65% brighter than previous models, a new UI, and a Cover Flow feature. The Nanos also come with three games, and have improved battery life (24 hours for audio playback, 5 hours for video). The 4 GB model is only available in silver for $149, while the 8 GB model is available in a rainbow of colours for $199. If you’re looking into buying the Nano, think about buying the ProductRED nano, which gives a portion of the sale back to the Project Red Charity.

The iPod shuffle are the same adorable fellows as always, but now available in new colours! If screen-less mp3 players are your thing, then you can’t go wrong with the iPod Shuffle. Only $80 for 1 GB.
