Wii: The Wii has the broadest appeal of all gaming devices; it has converted many a non-gamer and continues to intrigue gamers across a wide spectrum of age. Because it’s so popular, the Wii is hard to find. If you’re lucky, you might be able to find one with this Wii Tracker.

Canon Powershot SD850 IS: As a top rated camera, the Canon Powershot SD850 is a good camera for beginners and intermediate consumers and comes packed with picture settings. Pick one up from Amazon for $250.

Nikon D80: The feature packed DSLR camera, the D80, makes a great gift for more advanced camera users. Buy one here for $780.

Apple’s iPod Touch: This is probably the best designed mp3 player on the market. In addition to looking good, the iPod touch has a touch screen (duh) and comes in 8 or 16GB. Creative Zen: Although the Creative Zen isn’t as popular as the iPod, the Zen still boasts tons of features that the iPod lacks (like an FM tuner, significantly greater battery life, or expandable memory for example). Buy here from Creative for a starting price of $79 for the 2GB version.

Phones

Nokia N810 Internet Tablet: The Nokia N810 is the phone closest to a laptop. Buy the Internet tablet here for $459, and allow that special someone to check their email and web-browse wherever his or her heart desires.

iPhone: The iPhone is all the rage among consumers. As long as the gift receiver isn’t expecting a business smart-phone, the iPhone is a sure bet. Buy from Apple for $400.

Nokia N95: The perfect phone for a business person. Buy the Nokia N95 here for $750 and bring the joy of Christmas in the form of a multi-media device.

Helio Ocean: The funky dual sliding Helio Ocean is a big hit among teens. Buy the Helio Ocean from Helio for $200.

LG Choclate VX8550: The LG Chocolate is the it phone of 2007. Buy one from Verizon for $88.

Laptops

Alienware Area 51 m9750: The 17 inch gaming laptop from Alienware is not for the faint of heart. As ZDNET writes “It’s really hard to put it down into words just how good this notebook is without making everything sound like marketing hype.” Buy one from Alienware, starting at $1,699.

Macbook: A cute, well designed, affordable notebook is hard to come by these days. Additionally, it can run Windows through Boot Camp or Parallels. Check it out here (it retails starting at $1,099).

Storage

Western Digital MyBook: Affordable and easy one-button back up storage devices range from 500 GB ($170 here) to 2 TB of storage ($700 here).

Eye-Fi Wireless 2GB SD Card: The Eye-Fi Wireless 2GB SD Card wirelessly uploads pictures to your computer. Although it’s a bit expensive ($99), it would make a great gift for a techie. Buy from Amazon here.

Random Technology

Pleo: This robot dinosaur never ceases to amuse me. Buy it from Amazon for $350. In order to ensure that you get one in time for Christmas, you might want to check Ebay (Amazon is currently out of stock).

Robot R2D2: This will please the Star Wars fans: a Robot R2D2 from Hammacher Schlemmer for $120.

Garmin Nuvi 660: Or any comparable GPS device, for that matter. Buy from Amazon for $475.

DeLonghi CGH800-U Retro Panini Press: Not all people are technology geeks, but everyone loves a good melted sandwich. You can find the DeLonghi Panini Press at Amazon for $74.

Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7 Noise Cancelling Headphones: Noise cancelling headphones are all the rage these days, and these Audio-Technica headphones reduce environmental noise by up to 85%. Buy here for $125.

   Why not combine a cool external USB drive and the robot - get a Drobo, they call it a “storage robot”.

   No seriously, the MyBook is a great system, but if you want safe storage that is REALLY easy to use, check out the Drobo.
