World’s Largest Moose

Although the world’s largest moose isn’t exactly a gadget, it’s still pretty awesome! This moose (will stand 150 feet tall and will house a Restaurant, Conference Center, and Concert Hall. Where, exactly, would people actually think of building such a moose? Sweden, of course! With a max capacity of 350 people, who can enter through an elevator disguised as a tree, the moose will cost 6.5 million dollars. Construction should begin before the end of the year. When the creator of the moose, Thorbjörn Holmlund, heard that his idea had been approved after three years of planning, he said: “This is such unbelievably good news. My whole body is shaking with joy. People have really wanted to make this happen. There have been plenty of days when I have come close to crying but today I can do nothing but laugh.” For more information on the Moose, click here.

Here’s a promotional video of the World’s Largest Moose.

This December, Sony hopes to regain some of its lost dominance in the Mp3 Market with the adorable NW-E013 mp3 player.  Targeted towards women, NW-E013 is a small USB drive player that weighs 30 grams and has 1 GB of memory. In addition to being incredibly small, the NW-E013 also comes in five different colors (purple, light blue, pink, gold, and glossy black)! The NW-E013 is set to launch in Japan on December 19th for a price of 10,980 JPY (about 100 USD), although Sony may expand this offering to the US if sales are successful.

Zune Engraving Now for the 80 GB Models!

In my opinion, the free Zune Originals engraving of the 4 GB and 8 GB Zunes was a nice selling feature. Instead of being limited to two measly lines of text a la Apple, Microsoft lets its consumers engrave logos, designs, and anything else that tickles their fancy.  Now, those of you who were waiting to buy the Zune 80 GB will be delighted to know that 80 GB Zunes can now be engraved for free! Be sure to place your orders in time for Christmas!

WiiFit Launches in Japan

Posted in Nintendo, Wii by Danielle on December 8th, 2007.

It’s a pity that the WiiFit launched today in Japan, and not America. The workout tool for the Wii won’t be in the US until sometime next year. Even so, you can still buy a WiiFit from Amazon Japan, Success-HK, or Play-Asia, and if you get the right shipping, you might be able to get in time for the Holidays!
