ASUS Eee PC 900: Now with Windows XP!

Engadget was lucky enough to get their hands on ASUS’ newest 9 inch (well, technically 8.9 inch) Eee PC. The 9 inch screen (the biggest yet for the tiny Eee PC line) has a resolution of 1024 x 600, which is approximately the same resolution as the 7 inch model. Luckily for Windows junkies, the 9 inch Eee PC is available with either Windows XP or Linux as an operating system. Additionally, the Eee 900 has 1 GB of RAM, up to 12 GB of storage space, and 3.5 hours of battery life. As an ultra-portable laptop, the Eee 900 is slightly larger than its peers, weighing in it 2.2 pounds. The ASUS Eee PC 900 will launch in Europe in Early Summer 2008 for a price of 400 Euros (631 USD), and will eventually come over to the States, as well. Conceptual Hotel Mimicks the Death Star

Although the Heerim Architectures who designed this hotel in Azerbaijan claim that they drew their inspiration for the hotel’s unique architecture from the Moon (and accordingly named the building “Full Moon Hotel”), the hotel’s resemblance to the Death Star is rather striking. So striking, in fact, that Azerbaijan may find itself flooded with glassy eyed Star Wars fans if this hotel were to be truly put in production. Even without this claim to fame, the Full Moon Hotel would surely be flooded by tourists who want a gorgeous view of the Caspian Sea, which the Hotel conveniently overlooks.
