BenQ looks to break into the UMPC ring with their Atom-based miniature computer. The MID is going to be much like the tiny Eee PC with an 800 MHz Silverthorne processor, 512 mb of RAM, 4 GB of memory, and a Poulsbo chipset. BenQ’s MID also will have connectivity options such as HSDPA, 802.11 b/g WiFi, and Bluetooth 2.0. Additionally, the MID will sport a 4.8 inch touchscreen, a 0.3 megapixel camera, “G-Sensor,” GPS and voice-activation. No word on launch date or price, yet. Click here for more information.
