Rumours for the Upcoming Macbook: New Design and Glass Trackpad

As with all rumours, these about the new Macbook will mostly turn out to be false. Nevertheless, ComputerWorld seems to think that in addition to becoming thinner and more rounded like the Macbook Air, the next generation of Macbooks will have:
- Glass trackpads that allow multi-touch gestures
- A body made out of one piece of aluminum (which would be eco-friendly and more sturdy)
- Intel Centrino 2 processors
- Slightly bigger screens (14″ and 15.6″)
ComputerWorld estimates that the new Macbooks will be released in the last weeks of September. We’ll see if their predictions are correct, then…

The Q1UP-V Ultraportable Notebook boasts an Intel Centrino Processor, 2 GB of RAM, an 80 GB Hard Drive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a biometric fingerprint reader, and a 7″ 1024×600 touch screen. Creative recently announced the ZEN Mosaic PMP player. Available with 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB, or 16 GB of memory, the Zen Mosaicfeatures a 1.8 inch LCD display, built-in FM tuner, voice recording capabilities, and integrated speakers. LG Unveils XD1 Hard Drives

LG is bravely attempting to take over Western Digital’s stronghold on the External Hard Drive market with it’s new line of XD1 Hard Drives. Each sleek XD1 Hard Drive comes with a 2.5-inch HDD with a SATA II interface and a USB 2.0 port, and the hard drives are available in black or dark red. There’s no word on pricing or launch date, but you can expect the XD1 to be available in 120 GB, 160 GB, 250 GB, and 320 GB versions in the future. Read more here!
