Samsung recently announced the i8510: an amazing 8.0 Megapixel Cameraphone! Also known as INNOV8, the Samsung i8510 will launch in August for Europe and in September for the rest of the world. The Samsung i8510 proudly features HSDPA 7.2 Mbps (900/2100), EDGE / GPRS (850/900/1800/1900), Symbian OS V9.3, a 2.8-inch VGA 16M TFT LCD screen, a 8MP CMOS with Auto Flash and Dual Power LED, Image Stabilizion, Face Detecting Software, and Auto-Panorama Shot. T-Mobile abandons the frills with their latest Sidekick, which is named simply “the Sidekick.” Even so, this Sidekick has progressed a ton since the original Sidekick in 2002. The Sidekick sports a 400×240 WQVGA screen, a 2 megapixel camera, video recording, Bluetooth 2.0, and a microSD slot. The Sidekick is also the first Sidekick to come with customizable shells, which are available from SidekickShells for $14.99. Although the Dell Inspiron 13 may be lacking in bells and whistles, it’s a perfect work laptop for those on a limited budget. While the base model boasts a 13″ screen, 8-in-1 media card reader, and a slot loading DVD player, you’ll have to cough up some more dough to get Wi-Fi, a webcam, and/or Bluetooth. A $699 version of Dell’s Inspiron 13 will retail at Walmart on August 3rd; later in August, you’ll be able to configure the Inspiron 13 for yourself at dell.com. Read more here!
As with all rumours, these about the new Macbook will mostly turn out to be false. Nevertheless, ComputerWorld seems to think that in addition to becoming thinner and more rounded like the Macbook Air, the next generation of Macbooks will have:
- Glass trackpads that allow multi-touch gestures
- A body made out of one piece of aluminum (which would be eco-friendly and more sturdy)
- Intel Centrino 2 processors
- Slightly bigger screens (14″ and 15.6″)
ComputerWorld estimates that the new Macbooks will be released in the last weeks of September. We’ll see if their predictions are correct, then…
