MPIO isn’t always known for impeccable style and design, but it’s latest PMP is certainly head-turner. Meet the V10 PMP. With a 3 inch WQVGA touchscreen, you’ll be zooming through multimedia in no time. The V10 also has 8 GB of storage, an SD expansion slot, an FM Tuner, TV Output, support for almost every audio and video format, and Windows Ce 5.0. It also has battery life up to 5 hours! No word on pricing or launch date, but I’ll keep you updated!

Samsung’s YP-K5 DAP has integrated speakers, supports mp3, WMA, ASF, and OGG files, and is available in 1,2, or 4 gb capacities. There’s been no word on price or eventual US availability.

Microsoft’s mp3 player in the works is called “Zune” (the project name for it being Argo), and the product logo is pictured above. Zune is Microsoft’s alleged “iPod Killer”. We saw these leaked, yet very blurry, teaser pictures before.

Apparently, the Zune mp3 players will have wireless Wifi technology that allows Zune to Zune file sharing. Microsoft is pitching this product as “Connected Entertainment”, and to that end the Zune owners will be able to have a wireless, social network of friends. To attract current iPod users, Microsoft is even going to let new Zune users download for free any songs they had previously downloaded from the iTunes stores. Even though this will cost Microsoft (they’ll be paying for the downloads), Microsoft believes this will pay out in the end. [And it will, *if* Microsoft can convert enough iPod users to become faithful Zune users]. The Zune mp3 players will also be available in a myriad of colours, will have a larger screen than the video iPod’s (around 3 or 3.5 inches) and have a brushed metal back quite similar to Apple’s iPod. The Zune’s launch date is set for November. Here’s a non blurry, alleged picture of the Zune, by the way, and it does seem to match up with the previously released blurry pictures.

The headphones are supposed to match with purpose and personality.  Thus, the athlete buys the sport headphones, the teen buys the street ones, and the sophisticated college student buys the style ones. Within all of these categories (sport, street, and style), there are different models- some are only earbuds, some have a clip to secure the headphones, and some are made to be ultra light weight. As the Sennheiser web site claims, “…their superb sound, contemporary design and innovative fitting systems. The Street line delivers powerful bass, stand-out design and a wide range of accessories. The Sport Line headphones not only offer a perfectly secure fit, they are extremely robust, and resistant to sweat and water. The Style Line combines excellent sound with high-class design in finely finished materials.” We should be seing these innovate products within a month.
