Although rumours are that the Nokia N96 will initially be a UK-only release, most tech junkies will be able to live vicariously through articles and video reviews. After all, we already know that the N96 will feature 16 GB of internal memory, microSDHC support (for up to 16 GB of memory), a dual-slide design, a built-in kickstand for video watching, a 5 megapixel Zeiss camera with dual LED flash, GSM, HSDPA, a 2.8″ TFT display, 128 mb of RAM, and a Dual ARM 9 264 MHz CPU. The Nokia 8208 is a dual-slider phone with a 3.0 megapixel camera, a 2.2 inch QVGA display, Series 40 specs, dedicated music playing keys, FM radio, a digital music player, Bluetooth, USB connectivity, and GPS. The GPS works as hybrid GPS receiver with China’s Unicom and as a stand alone in other nations. Unsurprisingly, the 8208 also features a dictionary for use on Unicom. Read more here!

Nokia added two new handsets to its XpressMusic line of phones. The 5220 XpressMusic has a 2 megapixel camera, a 240×320 display with 265k colours, an FM radio, Bluetooth, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, micro SDHC support, a 1020 mAh battery with a charge life of 24 hours, and S40 OS. The 5220 either comes in 850/1800/1900 Mhz or 900/1800/1900 Mhz. The 5320 XpressMusic has a 2 megapixel camera, S60 OS, a 240×320 display with 16M colours, an FM radio, Bluetooth, microSDHC support, and an 850 mAh battery. The 5320 has two quad-band versions: one with 850 and2100 MHz 3G with HSPDA and the other with 900 and 2100 MHz 3G and HSDPA. The FCC recently approved Nokia’s Classic 6220- a high-end, feature-packed candy bar phone. Features include a stunning 5 megapixel camera with Xenon flash, GPS with integrated geotagging, and the latest S60 operating system. The Nokia 6220 is also prepared for video recording with a 30 fps shooting speed at 600×480 resolution. The 6220 also boasts European HSDPA and TV-out.  If you’re into purple and powerful phone specifications, Nokia’s 6220 Classic might be for you! No word on pricing, but the 6220 should be available in the third quarter of 2008.

We’ve been waiting for the official stats and features of the Nokia N82 ever since the tech community fell in love with blurry spy shots of the phone several months ago. Essentially, the N82 is a revamped version of the N95, complete with a xenon flash and a candybar form. With a 5 megapixel digital camera (with Zeiss lens), 30 fps video capture capabilities, A-GPS, and Share Online 3.0 multimedia integration, the N82 is marketed towards the tech-savvy. The N82 also has a media player and supports microSD memory cards of up to 8 GB. This Nokia phone will begin retailing in a few weeks with a price of 400 Euros (631 USD).

Nokia has just launched Medeo- an ad supported entertainment portal that hopes to keep Nokia users entertained and happy. Nokia users can access Medeo at www.nokia.mobi. Medeo will feature “everything from red carpet news, interviews with your favorite TV and movie stars, [to] film trailers, fashion and music.” The best part of all of this? Medeo is absolutely free for its users; it’s paid for by ads.  And good news: Medo is available immediately for all Nokia Nseries and Eseries devices. There’s not much content up yet on the Medeo site, but Nokia will surely increase the amount of offerings over time.

The Nokia 8800 Arte and Sapphire Arte are ridiculously glitzy cell phones for the rich. Soon to retail at €1,000 for the Arte and €1,500 for the Sapphire Arte in either quarter 4 of 2007 or quarter 1 of 2008, these two phones are decked out to impress. They both have a 2.0 inch QVGA OLED display, a 3.2 megapixel camera, 1 GB of built in memory, an anti-fingerprint coating on the metal and glass, and come with a leather pouch. The Arte and Sapphire Arte have a “turn to mute” feature, which enables users to mute their phones merely by turning them over.
