Intel Announces the World’s Thinnest Laptop

Intel has succeeded in creating the world’s thinnest laptop. This laptop is, in fact, only a quarter of an inch bigger than the morola RAZR- quite an accomplishment! It also weighs only 2.25 pounds! Unfortunately, this is just a prototype, and we have no current knowledge on when this laptop will be released in the future, or the estimated price (although it is probably quite high).
LG Z1 Pro Laptop

The editor’s first thoughts? Oooh.. shiny! But besides that, the LG Z1 Pro Laptop is really quite impressive. It even has a mini 2.5 inch LCD screen on the front, which allows you to utilize RSS feeds, email, photos, stock quotes, MP3s, etc. without even opening up your screen. The LG Z1 Pro Laptop also has a Intel Core 2 Duo T5600 1.3 Ghz Processor, a 12.1″ WXGA display with Fine Bright Technology, Graphics ATI Mobility TM Raedon X1350 (up to 513 mb), 120 GB HD, Bluetooth, Multimedia Card Slot, SRS Tru Sound XT, and Audo SRS HD. The LG Z1 is available now for a starting price of $1900.
LG Santa Rosa Notebooks

LG just announced its Santa Rosa Notebooks, 5 X-Note computers based on Intel’s latest chipset. Ranging from the petite R200 (12.1 inches) to the larger R500 and E600 (15.4 inches), these laptops have Core Duo 2 processors, 1-2 GB of Ram, 120-160 GB of Hard Drive memory, NVIDEA or ATI non integrated graphics, and WiFi (for all but the E500). Although these LG laptops will be available soon in Asia, we Americans will just have to wait (quite) a bit longer for them.
Lenovo’s Bejing Olympics Themed Laptop

Lenovo has announced a laptop in anticipation for the 2008 Bejing Olympic Games. The red and black case design is similar to the design of the Olympic torches, which Lenovo is also producing. The laptop will have a 12.1 inch XGA display, as well as Intel’s L2400 Core 2 Duo processor. Currently, the price and the release date for this laptop are unknown.
Lenovo’s Thinkpads- T61 and R61 Santa Rosa

Lenovo’s thinkpads T61 and R61 Santa Rosa are 14 inch laptops with impressive specs! The R61 Santa Rosa has T7100, T7300, T7500, and T7700 chips, and up to 2.4 Ghz of Core Duo processing power. Both models have Intel’s newest PM965 integrated graphics, and an Intel Turbo Card “Robinson” flash memory cache. The T61 also has a LCD “roll cage”. Customizable options include NVIDEA graphics, wireless connectivity, and extra storage space. These models are expected to be available for puchase in May, but the price is still unknown.
