Sony’s Vaio C Series
Sony is releasing its Vaio C Series of 13.3 inch Notebooks.

The Sony Vaio C Series is targeting the fashion-conscious. In fact, the key selling point is that it is available in five different colours- seashell white, urban gray, espresso black, spring green, and blush pink. The Vaio C Series have a 13.3 inch XBRITE-ECO widescreen display, 120 gb of hard drive, up to 2 gb of RAM, a dual layer DVD burner, WiFi, Bluetooth, ExpressCard, 256 mb nVidia GeForce Go 7400 Graphics, and Firewire and USB ports. Sony’s Vaio C Series will be sold this October, for a starting price of $1,350.
Samsung’s Q35- Now Core Duo
Samsung’s sleek Q35 is now going Core Duo. Other than that, Samsung’s Q35 has the same specs- 12.1 inch widescreen display, 1.83 ghz processor, up to 1 GB of memory, and integrated Intel graphics, all in under 4 pounds.
Exploding Dell Laptop

According to the Inquirer, a Dell laptop exploded at a conference in Osaka, Japan. A witness managed to snap these pictures with his camera phone, and does affirm that the exploding computing device in question is, indeed, a Dell. His advice? “Don’t try anything courageous/stupid, stay away, away, away!”. Dell is currently looking into the Spontaneous Laptop Combustion issue.
Toshiba’s “Ultraportable” U205 and “Convertible” R25 Notebooks
Today, Toshiba announced their two newest notebooks- the ultraportable U205 and the convertible R25.

Above is the ultraportable U205 notebook. It has a stunning 12.1 inch widescreen display, with TruBrite Technology for extra (and ajustable) illumination. While only weighing 4.1 pounds, this notebook packs a punch with a Intel Centrino Core Duo Processor (1.66 or 1.83 ghz), a hard drive starting at 100 gb, 1 gb of RAM, an integrated graphics card, a DVD/CD burner, 5 hours of battery life, and Life Smart Technology (such as a fingerprint reader, shock absorbant design, and a spill resistant keyboard). Toshiba’s U205 starts with a price of $1,199.

The Laptop you see above is Toshiba’s convertible R25 notebook. While not as light as the U205 (the R25 weighs in at 5.95 pounds), the R25 also has an Intel Core Duo Processor (1.66 ghz), a 14.1 WXGA Widescreen Display, 100 gb hard drive, DVD burner, 3.94 hours of battery life, an integrated graphics card, 1 gb of RAM, and the same LifeSmart technology as the U205 (fingerprint reader, shock absorbing build, and spill proof keyboard). The R25 has a price of $1,349.
