Wake n’ Bacon: Finally, an Alarm Clock I Won’t Resent

Posted in Random Tech by Danielle on July 31st, 2008.

Mmmmm… Bacon! If there’s anything that can wake me from a deep slumber, it would be the delicious smell of freshly cooked bacon. Inventors Matty Sallin and Daniel Bartolini seemed to share my sentiments, for they have created the Wake n’ Bacon; an alarm clock that wakes you with the smell of fresh, sizzling bacon.  After depositing frozen slices of bacon in the Wake n’ Bacon the night before, you can be sure to awake to the tantalizing smell of bacon! The Wake n’ Bacon simply begins cooking the bacon a few minutes before your alarm is set to wake you. Unfortunately, the Wake n’ Bacon is only a concept at this time. But, if the alarm clock is ever produced, it is sure to have many fans. Click here for more info!

Developer Stefano Merlo designed these Energy Buckets to collect and store energy in the same way that people in the past collected and stored rain water. After sufficient exposure to light, the Energy Buckets brighten any darkened area. Although these Energy Buckets are only a concept right now, it will be interesting to see the idea develop further (and perhaps in a more practical manner). Read more here!

Listen up, ladies! Both Estée Lauder and Lancôme are planning to launch vibrating mascaras in the upcoming months, forever ridding you of incorrect mascara application. Lancôme will announce the TurboLash All Effect Motion Mascara, which will sell for $30 at Saks Fifth Avenue (starting July 17) and will vibrate at 125 micropulses per second. Estée Lauder will sell the Ôscillation, which “a 360-degree coat around each and every lash.” Although I’m probably to clumsy to use these vibrate mascaras without gouging myself, I’m sure a lot of other women would love these mascaras!
