Samsung i85 Multi-Purpose Camera
Samsung launched the i85 8 Megagpixel PMP Camera. At 3.74″x2.42″x0.8″, the i85 is roughly the size of a credit card, and is sure to turn heads with its sleek design. Additionally, the i85 has 5x optical zoom, Face Detection, ISO up to 1600, Advanced Shake Reduction, 256 mb of internal memory, SD/SDHC memory card support, a 3.0 inch LCD screen, a 2.5mm headphone jack, and can capture 800×592 MPEG4 videos. As a PMP, the Samsung i85 can playback MPEG4 videos, or MP3 music.
“Essentially a lifestyle accessory for the tech savvy, the i85 gives users the ability to shed the various gadgets that they would typically take with them on a daily basis, such as their MP3 players or video cameras, and simply carry one device. And with the World Tour Guide function, which we first launched with the L74 Wide earlier this year, the i85 puts a host of valuable travel information and must-see sites right in the palm of the user’s hand.” Stewart Henderson, Vice President of Marketing writes.
Samsung G800 has a Snazzy Camera
The Samsung G800 slider phone has a 5.0 megapixel camera with an auto focus lens, a 5.9-17.4 mm focus length, and 3x optical zoom. The G800 also comes equipped with Bluetooth, USB and 3G or HSDPA connectivity. The other features are under wraps for now, but I’ll be on the look out for the pricing and launch date.
Samsung SGH-P520 Confirmed
Samsung’s SGH-P520 uniquely utilizes a touchscreen to navigate the GUI, instead of a boring old keyboard. With a sleek design, 2.6 inch 320 x 240 resolution LCD, GSM / EDGE connectivity, a 3 megapixel camera, a microSD card slot, 50 mb of internal memory, and WiFi, you can expect the SGH-P520 to be a big hit. Sadly, there is no word on pricing or launch date, yet.
Samsung SCH-B750 Phone
Samsung launched the B750 phone in Korea. The B750 has unique video editing capabilities- you can edit your clip, add text or music to the background, and then send the edited video clip to a website like Korea’s www.pandora.tv. The Samsung B750 also twists into a camcorder position for easier video shooting. Video resolution is 320×240 and recording is MPEG4. The phone is available in black, red, or white for a price of 600,000 won (approx. 650 USD).
Samsung’s G600 Available in Europe
The Samsung G600 is a 5 megapixel camera phone with an FM radio, a microSD slot, Bluetooth 2.0, USB port, audio / video player, and is only 14.9mm thick. Samsung will release the G600 in Europe soon; the price and exact launch date are unknown. We also don’t know if Samsung will launch the G600 Slider in the US too.
