Sanyo’s much awaited XACTI DMX-HD800 (the successor to the DMX-HD700) has finally arrived. Loaded with an 8.0 megapixel 1/2.5 inch CMOS sensor, 5x optical zoom, a 2.7″ LCD, face tracking, SD/SDHC support, and easy to use drag-and-drop (to transfer the H.264 video to your PC), the HD800 makes a “HUGE step forward in video quality” according to Akihabara News. The Sanyo XACTI DMX-HD800 launches in Japan on August 22nd for ¥50,000 ($463 USD), so we’ll have to wait a bit to see if the HD800 actually lives up to the hype.

Here’s an adorable little waterproof TV- the LVT-WD40 by Sanyo. Perfect for watching TV in the shower, the LVT-WD40 has a 4.0 inch LCD screen, an integrated 1Seg digital TV tuner, and approximately six hours of battery life. The LVT-WD40 waterproof shower tv will debut November 21 for 50,000 yen in Japan.

Sanyo recently announced the Xacti S70 Digital Camera. The Xacti S70’s specifications include a 7 megapixel CCD sensor, 3x optical zoom, 4x digital zoom, a 2.5 inch LCD screen, and ISO up to 800 for images and 3200 for videos. Sanyo’s Xacti S70 can also capture 640×480 video at 30fps. There’s currently no word on pricing or release date.

The pocket sized Sanyo Xacti CG65 has H.264 video compression technology, which enables users to reduce MPEG4 files by 25%. It also has a Gyro sensor, a 2.5 inch LCD screen, shake resistant corrector, 10 hours of video storage (with a 8 GB SDHC card), a 6 megapixel CCD with ISO 1600 sensitivity, 5x optical zoom lens, and is available in black, silver or green. The CG6 digital camera is very similar to the CG65 digital camera, but it lacks H.264 technology. The CG65 and CG6 will be available in April, 2007 for $400 and $330 respectively.
