Sony’s Rolly Rolling in September 29th

Personally, I find this gadget extremely amusing. It rolls, lights up, and plays music. Honestly, what more do you people need? However, that being said, I would not be willing to drop $350 on it.
The Sony Rolly is motion-controlled, and has direction sensors (it can tell which way is up). You change the volume by turning the Bluetooth capable player clockwise or counterclockwise, and you can skip or repeat tracks by rolling the Rolly forwards or backwards or by simply shaking it. You also have the choice of either making the Rolly’s dance moves, or downloading them directly to the your Rolly. Unfortunately, the Rolly only has 1 GB of memory, and 5 hours of play time.

If you’re still enamored, you can buy your own Rolly in Japan on September 29th for $351. Oh and the carrying case and charging dock will cost you extra ($17.50, and $35 respectively).

Sony Minimalist BRAVIA DAV-X10 Home Theatre System

This home theatre system could sell on looks alone. Although it only has two speakers, Sony’s BRAVIA DAV-X10 system still performs through S-Force PRO Front Surround Technology with the system requiring 480 W of power. There are hidden touch controls on the main system, as well as a Bluetooth adapter. The system also upscales old DVDs to 720p or 1080i, and should work nicely with other Sony BRAVIA products. Expected launch date is in September; no word on pricing, yet.
PS3 Price Drop at Circuit City

Circuit City has dropped the price of the PS3 $100 to $499. When you include the 5 free Blu-Ray movies that Sony’s giving every PS3 buyer, the time to buy a PS3 has never been better.
Sony VAIO VGN-FZ70B and VGN-FZ50B Laptops

Sony has a whole new line of Vaio Laptops- the VGN-FZ70B and the VGN-FZ50B. Both of these Vaios have an Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM (customizable up to 2 GB), and NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT GPU. The Sony Vaio VGN-FZ70B has a 160 GB Hard Drive, and a Blue-Ray burner, while the Sony Vaio VGN-FZ50B has a DVD multi-burner and a 120 GB Hard Drive. Both laptops come with WiFi 802.11a/b/g, Bluetooth, a low resolution camera (0.3 megapixels) and memory stick slots (SD/MMC).
Also in the FZ series of Sony Vaios are the FZ90NS, FZ90S and FZ90HS laptops, which have a faster CPU and much more RAM. All in all, the FZ series is an attractive set of laptops set out by Sony, and will most likely be a top seller!
