Xbox 360: “I can has price drop?”
This will be the wind beneath the rumour mills. Both the Toys R US ad (pictured above) and the Wal-mart ad (below) clearly show the Xbox 360 getting a $50 price drop down to $349. If you’re holding off for the price drop, the alleged date for the price drop to take place is August 8th.
Black Xbox 360 Elite
Just as we suspected, Microsoft is finally releasing its Xbox 360 in black, dubbed the “Xbox 360 Elite”.
The Elite will be a limited edition Xbox, with approximately a couple hundred thousand units available. The Elite Xbox will also be completely repackaged along with a black headset, and controller. The Elite Xbox 360 will have a 120 GB HD, and will run cooler than the current Xbox 360s. The Elite is estimated to cost $479, and be sold with Core and Premium packs. Eventually, the specs of the Elite (in white casing) will replace the premium model of the Xbox; this is estimated to take place by summer/fall.

Compared to the current 20 gb Hard Drive, a 70 gb Hard Drive for the Xbox 360 would be very spacious!!

Supposedly, the below Best Buy ad features a black xbox 360, which leads to the undisputable fact that Microsoft must be manufacturing the Xbox 360 in black in order to boost the holiday sales. Personally, I like it alot more in black because it gives the Xbox 360 a sophistication.
