iPod vs. Zune Comparison Photos
Here are some iPod (Video, 80 gb) vs. Zune Comparison Photos. Even though the Zune is slightly larger than the iPod, it has a significantly larger screen, and somehow manages to weigh less than the iPod.

Zune Launch Date- November 14th
Microsoft’s Zune will launch on November 14th, with a price of $250, as this Walmart Pre-order Page depicts. On the Zune Marketplace, individual tracks are rumoured to cost 79 cents each, and you can get a monthly Zune subscription for $14.99/month.

Zune Price Leak- $284
Walmart accidently posted the Zune’s price on their online store. The 30 gb Zune will retail for around $284 at Walmart, which is still $34 more than the Video iPod’s 30 gb player ($250).
Microsoft’s Zune is Official
Microsoft finally officially announces their Zune Mp3 Player. You can view the press release here. Basically, the Zune is a 30 gb mp3 player that has FM Radio, a 3 inch QVGA screen, and music, video, and picture playback. The Zune plays AAC, MP3, and WMA formats.

You can share files via Zune to Zune sharing, but a shared file can only be listened to for three times over a three day period, before you have to purchase it on the Zune Marketplace. There’s also a Zune Pass subscription, which allows you unlimited access to music and other media in the Zune Marketplace (like Napster), but no word on the monthly price for that, yet. The Zune comes in black, white, and brown, but Microsoft won’t announce the launch day (”the holiday season”) or a price.
