Mozart’s Birthday
January 27th marks Mozart’s 250th Birthday. Google saw fit to celebrate it with an appropriate banner:
Born in Salsburg, Austira, Mozart was one of the great musical composers of the classical period who also paved the way for the Romantic period. He was a child prodigy too, composing at the age of five, and playing before royalty such as the Austrian empress at six. Mozart was influenced by other composers, such as J. S. Bach, Georg Handel, and Joseph Hadyn. He is most famous for his works of chamber, piano, particularly his piano concertos, and choral music.
