Sony Ericsson’s K618

Today, Sony announced their newest Ericcson phone: the K618.

This 3G phone has a 2 megapixel camera with 2.5 digital zoom, a 1.9 inch 176 x 220 pixel LCD screen, UMTS 2100, Bluetooth, and a 256 mb m2 card. Sony Ericsson’s K618 is expected to hit the markets within quarter 3 of this year, and neither the price nor the exact release date have been stated. Sony promotes the K619, saying, “This high performance 3G device delivers blisteringly-fast speeds for streaming or downloading music & video clips, browsing the web or gaming. And staying in control of your inbox is made easier with support for push email, allowing messages to be sent directly to the phone without having to download them.” Read the official press release here.

it is 12,799 pesos here in philipines mindanao! some are 14,999 but buy it in graphics! everywhere! =)

The only price I could find was at this site http://www.hi-mobile.net/Sony-Ericsson/Sony-Ericsson-K618-Fully-Unlocked/ for $225.98. I would advise potential buyers to see if hi-mobile is a reputable site before buying the K618 from them. Vodafone says the phone is coming soon (http://www.directmobilephones.com/sony_ericsson_k618_vodafone.htm) and it also lists a number to call for more information.

From the Sony site, it says the K618 is only available from dealers in Italy, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia. You might want to check Ebay for a local selling one of these phones to Europeans and Americans.
